Thai officials selling Burmese refugees to human traffickers: report


Radio Australia: An investigation by the BBC has revealed that corrupt Thai officials and police have been selling Burmese refugees to human traffickers.
Boatloads of Rohingya Muslims fleeing ethnic violence in Burma have been intercepted by the Thai navy.
In one case, a source close to a corrupt deal told the BBC that 73 refugees - detained and loaded into trucks for deportation - were handed over to people-smugglers.
